Uncle Giovanni, known to all as the ‘Leone di Bore’ (Lion of Bore), opened his tavern on May 1st 1956: every bottle opened tells of the enthusiasm that led him over time to be so loved and valued by his fellow villagers in Villa Franchi di Bore. Time and silence preserve this Nizza D.O.C.G. Riserva Leone, which lives by its own light inside the cellars of Vinicola Arno. Aged for a minimum of 30 months, it is a Nizza D.O.C.G. Riserva of great personality that presents the characteristics of long ageing. A wine that is both sincere and exuberant, just like Leone.

Sensory notes

Bold ruby red in colour, it has a very complex olfactory profile. It reveals aromas of cherries in alcohol, cugnà (Piedmontese jam made from grape must), liquorice, sweet spices and light balsamic notes. Toasted hints of coffee and cocoa also emerge to finish. The mouthfeel is intense, accompanied by a long and savoury finish.
